Compiled below are some comments and feedback from our FAMU DRS Community.

In response to the question "How is online schooling going for you?" one FAMU DRS parent responded, "For [my daughter], it's smooth sailing. FAMU DRS has it all together!!!
Facebook post: "[I will] always give credit where credit is due. I work hands on with a couple of schools in the community... After speaking to multiple parents, I have concluded that FAMU DRS by far has one of the best distance learning programs. It has been a smooth transition with little to no issues. They have given Chromebooks & iPads to assist students with online learning. EVERYONE tries to discredit this STEAM focused school. However, because our students use many of these programs on a regular basis, they are primarily self sufficient. The students are still on track and are easily learning new concepts. KUDOS TO SUPERINTENDENT JOHNSON & THE ENTIRE FAMU DRS FACULTY/STAFF."
Community Comments Form Submission: "I would like to extend my gratitude to the administrators and teachers at FAMU DRS. I commend each and everyone of you on a job well done. You all do not hear it enough. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! You all have worked endlessly to ensure that the kids and parents are adapting to the distant learning. As a parent with 3 children enrolled, I was skeptical about the virtual school. To my surprise, it has gone extremely well. Even my K5 and 2nd grade children were already familiar with the websites because they use them regularly. Whenever I faced an issue the administrators would contact me to resolve the problem."
Community Comments Form Submission: "I really wanted to communicate that while the current situation has been trying for many individuals, the teachers at FAMU DRS have done an excellent job! I have a daughter in 3rd grade and the educational process has not stopped. My daughter's teacher host live lessons twice a day, where she is encourages every student to participate and ensures that they are all understanding the concepts that are being taught. The work in google classroom has been extremely organized and obtainable. My daughter that is in middle has not had an issue with the distant learning because the teacher's have been using the google platform for the entire school year. The teachers have had multiple streams of communication and this has made this whole process so wonderful. While there have been some hiccups here and there, most of the individuals that I have encounter have been great! Thank you for all of your hard work."
