FAMU DRS Instructional Continuity Plan (ICP)
FAMU DRS Instructional Continuity Plan
2021-2022
FAMU Developmental Research School is committed to providing safe, learning and working environment for each member of our school community (i.e. students, parents, faculty, and staff). We have involved a diverse group of faculty and staff members in the planning, developing, and implementation of district's Instructional Continuity Plan (ICP). The cross-functioning team includes (1) Assistant Superintendent, (2) District Data and Accountability Coordinator, (3) Title I/ESOL Coordinator, (4) Student Support Services Coordinator, (5) Elementary Content Area Instructor, (6) Secondary Content Area Instructor, (7) Career & Technical Education Instructor, (8) Special Area Instructor, & (9) MIS Technology Coordinator.
The ICP is designed to provide teachers with instructional flexibility, students and families with learning flexibility, and clear guidance to teachers and parents/guardians/families regarding available resources. The ICP will standardize the special learning and working environments for all stakeholders (i.e., students, faculty, staff, parents, and administrators) to ensure effective teaching and learning occurs.
The critical success factors (CSFs) that determine achievement of the ICP desired outcomes or goals are as follows: (CSF 1) Equal Access to Instructional Materials and Resources, (CSF 2) Equal Access to Device and Internet, (CSF 3) Continued Professional Development for Faculty/Staff, (CSF 4) Parent/Family Involvement Activities, (CSF 5) Nutritious School Meals, (CSF 5) Continuation of Educational Services, and (CSF 6) Effective Communication.
The FAMU DRS Instructional Continuity Plan has been published on the Florida Department of Education website.
